Job Description

Trader Interactive is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead the development of groundbreaking new product initiatives utilizing cutting edge web and cloud technologies.

You will manage and drive a team of dispersed and off-shore engineers to deliver new online products for Trader Interactive’s online marketplaces. You will provide the technical vision and lead the development of new digital retailing tools.

You must have a proven track record of hands-on software engineering management, delivering internet-scale web products that reach millions of consumers. You must have demonstrated experience as a “full-stack” engineer with special emphasis on API integrations and SaaS. Additionally, you must have expertise with AWS, Azure or similar Cloud platforms. Experience building web-enabled widgets that plug-n-play onto any website is a plus.

Having exposure to these and the design patterns used in high traffic web environments will serve you well in managing a team of engineers charged with bringing market-changing solutions to market.

Primary Responsibilities

Own software engineering and delivery of large scale web-based products
Provide technical vision for new and emerging products
Lead architecture and technical design
Manage a team of in-house and outsourced engineers
Plan and supervise the integration of several external API-based resources into our own hub
Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to create products loved by users

Basic Qualifications

7+ years experience in Software Development with at least 2 years in management
Solid tech skills around the basics: software design patterns, implementation, unit testing, debugging
Experience building highly available complex web applications with AWS, Azure or similar Public Cloud platforms
Acute sense of ownership and the resolve to dig deeper into product and technical issues
Experience working in an API service oriented architecture supporting mobile applications and websites
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks while meeting aggressive deadlines.
Strong knowledge of software architecture best practices, and relational database design is required.
