Job Description Senior Software Engineer
PTC, a global provider of CAD, PLM, IoT, and AR solutions, is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA. Our Creo (CAD) Geometry team consists of some of the most highly-skilled engineers in this space. If you are looking to combine software engineering with mathematical skills, this role could be a perfect fit.
The team oversees the backbone of PTC Creo product, one of the leading company products, and is responsible for one of the Core capabilities of PTC CAD modeler - Geometry kernel. This team enables PTC to play a leading role in the CAD market and provides best-in-class 3D modeling.
As part of your job at PTC, you will get into exciting world of 3D Geometry and acquire expertise in state of art modeling techniques. You will take an active part in the implementation and maintenance of software algorithms based on numerical methods, analytical and differential geometry in state of the art 3D geometry kernel.
- BS/MS or higher in Math, Applied Math or Physics
- BS in Computer Science is an advantage
- 3+ years experience in C/C++ programming
- Experience in programming of math algorithms / computational geometry or background in mechanical 3D design is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
