Job Description for Advertising Purposes
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in the PTC office in Montreal. You will be working within the manufacturing center of expertise, responsible for developing Manufacturing Smart Connected Application based on the ThingWorx (IoT) platform.
•Web and mobile Application Development
•Prepare functional specifications.
•Schedule, conduct and participate in design reviews.
•Prepare design note(s) per group standards based on an approved set of requirements.
•Prepare work estimates for assigned tasks.
•Technical lead on small projects.
•Completes all work according to schedule requirements.
•Provide ongoing feedback on deliverables.
•Write well documented & high performing code including source code documentation that meets organizational standards.
•Solicit code reviews for work and participate in code reviews of others’ work.
•Create and run unit tests. Deliver automated tests to QA for inclusion in a regression test bed when appropriate. Test on multiple configurations.
•Acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product and process).
•Provide timely and complete information and document reviews to the publications group.
•Provide timely and complete information to the QA group to facilitate formal testing.
•Share technical information with the team and to a wider audience when appropriate.
Preferred Technical Skills:
•Optional: GWT, JQuery/Angular, HTML 5.0, Mobile, Internet of Thing, Cloud, Augmented Reality programming experience considered a plus.
Required Business Skills:
Excellent English speaking skills are of critical importance. Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following characteristics: flexibility, independence, self-motivation, team player, consensus building. You must be familiar with Agile SCRUM software development methodology.
Bachelors degree plus 0-2 years experience in a software development role.
