Job Overview Qualcomm is looking to hire talented engineers in the modem system test group. This role is focused on developing tools, software and infrastructure (AWS) to reduce the response time for failure analysis by test teams, through analysis of large volumes of unstructured data. In this role, candidates will be working in a dynamic environment, interfacing across multiple cross functional teams including Software, Test and Tools teams. Responsibilities: - Develop a robust, scalable and distributed software system with the ability to process large volumes of unstructured data - Use of machine-learning techniques where applicable to address data analysis needs - Analyze existing software and optimize for computational complexity / run-time as well as memory footprint - Develop software solutions to track and report metrics across complex cloud based software systems - Develop test infrastructure to support CI/CD of software - Debug issues and provide fixes and enhancements along with documentation and tracking of these issues - Gather requirements, analyze, design, develop, test, document and deploy new features - Work with multiple teams in harmonizing a community-centric software development model All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred Qualifications - Computer Architecture, Data structures, Algorithms - AWS, Azure, GCP - C/C++, Python and/or PERL Scripting in Linux and Windows environments - Databases like MySQL, NoSQL, DynamoDB, etc - Software/system test experience - Knowledge of WWAN (UMTS/GERAN/LTE/TDSCDMA), LAN, GPS, technologies Education Requirements Required: Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Electrical Eng. or related field

Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, Electrical Eng. or related field.
