If you want to be part of leading the product changes to take us to the next stage of growth while having fun doing your job, this is the opportunity for you.   A Principal/Architect Software Development Engineer (Principal/Architect SDE) is responsible for overall design and architecture of software across the product portfolio. This individual possesses deep architectural knowledge for all products and leads the way in its continued evolution. Additional responsibilities include subject matter expertise for development tools, continuous integration, and methodologies. The Principal/Architect SDE works closely with leaders and individual contributors in other areas such as product management, support, test, and technical operations. Principal/Architect SDEs mentor members across the organization to create exemplary designs and code. They are data-driven as they plan architectural changes and innovations. They work closely with software testers, and product managers in an Agile/Scrum process to deliver high quality features and fixes in a timely and cost-effective way. They are among the most influential members of the team, extending their guidance into areas of product design, architecture, and development practices.   Role & Responsibility

  • Act as a role model for others across the organization in not only the core skills of software development but also professionalism, accountability, and communication
  • Develop, enforce, and continuously improve upon the established Agile/Scrum methodology for continuous integration, test automation, design, and code reviews.
  • Lead initiatives to execute or enhance our processes to improve performance, security, usability, scalability, and reliability

Required Skills

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of related testing and automation experience and knowledge of C#, C++, Ruby, Python or Java
  • Expertise with product architecture and design, load and performance testing, and industry best practices
  • Experience implementing and improving an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Expertise in designing systems for distributed architectures
  • Ability to lead others to adapt and change processes and practices
  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Passion for accountability and fostering a spirit of stewardship in others

  • Superior experience in Continuous Integration (CI)
  • Experience in arbitrating design decisions to speed innovation and quality
  • Agility and adaptability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Rich experience leading team members with multiple project responsibilities
