Egencia is looking for engineers to focus on front and backend development for our global corporate travel website. You should have a real passion for deploying outstanding features to be used by business travelers worldwide.

Engineers at Egencia are core members of our feature teams responsible for building the next generation of interfaces for corporate travel shopping.


  • Build next-generation travel web applications with a focus on scalable and reliable services, responsive user interfaces, and personalization
  • Develop features across both our desktop and mobile web sites
  • Write back-end code in Java and front-end code in JSP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineers on decisions
  • Prototype experimental features
  • Work closely with product leads, designers, information architects, and back-end engineers
  • Enthusiastically look for ways to make our customers' experiences better
  • Advocate for best practices, great usability and exceptional quality
  • Help other developers take advantage of new technologies
  • Participate in and lead code reviews
  • Help design and build reusable frameworks and libraries to simplify development


  • Minimum 4 years experience in Java development, including REST-ful services and JSON
  • Experience in semantic HTML, CSS, Javascript markup that works on any device
  • Understanding of JavaScript and Ajax - with and without use of a library/framework
  • Strong command of web standards, progressive enhancement and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience building consumer facing sites
  • Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
  • Strong logic programming ability
  • Previous experience with a server-side scripting language (Ruby, Python, etc)
  • Understanding of client-side performance and how to improve it
  • Experience with a version control system
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience on large codebases
