Ready for a role with the potential to influence decisions across the entire company? Clickstream builds and supports data pipelines for datasets describing Amazon customer behavior its website and applications. We collect, transform and assemble logs from webservers, services, browsers, and devices to create a coherent view of customers' experience using Amazon across web, mobile, connected screens and beyond. Several hundred teams at Amazon make use of the data we provide to make critical business decisions. The size and complexity of our data has increased over time as more and more customers shop online across different types of devices and more and more Amazon businesses spin up. Our current data processing infrastructure is ready for an upgrade, and we are looking for data minded developers to design and implement a Clickstream 2.0. You will work as part of a cross functional team of developers and BIEs to build a new processing infrastructure that is efficient, maintainable, and that produces high quality data that truthfully represents the online behavior of Amazon's customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


· Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline
· Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C++, C , or Ruby/Python/Perl
· Strong object-oriented design skills with understanding of common design paradigms
· Good coding skills (Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
· Good communication skills in explaining technical challenges and solutions
· Willing and able to work as part of team to develop and maintain a complex data processing system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
· Experience with Hadoop
· Experience with distributed data processing systems, algorithms, and relational/NoSQL databases
· Experience with web analytics data collection, processing, reporting, and analysis
· Experience using native AWS services
· Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
