The software developer will be responsible for the institution's enterprise application software development, workflow automation, report development, document imaging and third-party interface development, as as well as ETL development. The position will develop applications to enhance and extend existing ERP systems, such as student, faculty, employee and medical systems. The software developer will develop and monitor ETL processes, monitor and schedule ETL jobs, error reporting, and extend current operational data stores and data marts using database tools. Other responsibilities include generating technical and user documentation, including process flowcharts, and providing troubleshooting and support for enterprise business applications. Expert knowledge of enterprise applications programming, webservices, workflow development and business processes are important. Other responsibilities include working with architects and software developers to provide data access, manipulation, and functionality via stored procedures, functions, extracts, and custom interfaces.
The software developer will effectively develop software using industry standard software design methodology, framework & technical architecture standards. The software developer will ensure code is maintainable, supportable, and meets UT standards. Proficiency in applications programming skills are required for the position in addition to providing some training and customer support. Contact with users and vendors is required on an as needed basis.
