Key Duties

  • Provide expert knowledge and understanding of software systems engineering processes

  • Provide software systems engineering expertise to government customers in support of acquisition of major automated information systems

  • Provide support to the preparation and evaluation of technical documents, papers, studies, analysis, and briefings in support of acquisition of major automated information systems

  • Validate that the required system (GCSS-MC/LCM) interfaces interoperate with necessary systems, services, hardware, software, and data.

  • Update documentation for all internal and external interface changes

  • Draft and assist the government in developing and maintaining internal and external agreements (to include interface control documents and system interface agreements) between external stakeholder agencies and other systems

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability through the software development lifecycle

  • Demonstrated experience with research, planning, and strategizing in support of whole lifecycle software developments

  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and dependencies and provide mitigation of them in order to support development and programmatic schedule(s)

  • Demonstrated experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to hardware and software, configuration control, test and evaluation, systems integration, and systems supportability

  • Demonstrated experience with analytical data and the ability to collect, organize, and translate collected data to support better business decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with the technical implementation of Oracle products (particularly Enterprise Business Suite)

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a large and diverse team

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management, technical, or business analysis; 2 years of which must include experience in technical efforts supporting Department of Defense automated information systems and IT software components development

  • BS or BA degree in software engineering, or relevant technical discipline, from an accredited college or university

    • AS or AA degree and an additional 4 years of experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree
