Summary of Position

CIEE is looking for the best and brightest to join our growing application development team. We are a team of dedicated developers looking to the future by embracing the modern web platform and building RESTful service layers to expose our data and workflows to whatever UIs our design team can dream up. We are enhancing our legacy systems with an eye toward integrating them into our future platform.

The Software Developer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing existing systems to support business needs as defined by the current and future business requirements. S/he will also be the primary second-level technical support resource for application issues that cannot be resolved by the help desk.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Software development including fixing bugs and coding small enhancements
  • Debugging production issues
  • Adopts and maintains programming standards to continually improve quality of applications software
  • Ensures that established development methodology is followed
  • Ensures that system, program, and job documentation is complete and current
  • Maintains production applications as required
  • Evaluates/audits operational applications as requested, and recommend any performance improvements that could be made
  • Develop, integrate, and configure add-on/complimentary software to our Salesforce and SharePoint
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, (or similar)
  • 2+years professionalexperiencewith Microsoft development stack:
    • C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and SQL Server Integration Services required
    • ASP .NET MVC, Entity Framework, Silverlight, WCF and WCF Data Services preferred
  • Professional experience with Salesforce development preferred
  • Professionalexperience with AngularJSpreferred
    • Open to Vue and React
  • Working knowledge of object oriented software design and design patterns
  • Ability to work with technical and nontechnical people
  • Working knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Ability and inclination to learn new technology quickly as needed
  • The candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team and be a disciplined self-starter who can work alone when necessary

Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position listed above
  • Lifting: 0-25 lbs; frequency of lifting: infrequent
  • Ability to speak and listen on a telephone
  • Ability to type, and view a computer screen
  • Ability to bend and sort paperwork in a filing cabinet

CIEE’s typical work week is Monday-Friday, forty hours per week. Regular work schedules may vary based on business needs.
