In this role, you will be collaborating with other team members to build world class, front-end solutions for our products.
- Build web applications, features and components using TypeScript, React and GraphQL
- Work with the Product, Design and Data Platform teams to turn massive data sets into user-facing features.
- Work with the team to estimate and plan our work.
- Coordinate and collaborate with a global destributed team of engineers across all layers of the product.
SolarWinds develops best-of-breed SaaS application performance monitoring products: Papertrail (real-time log troubleshooting), AppOptics (server, infrastructure, and application performance monitoring and distributed tracing), Pingdom (uptime and end-user experience monitoring) and Loggly (structured log analysis).
We are currently hiring Full Stack and Front End Engineers for our Platform Experience team to build the next generation of observability software. We’re a small team but every member here has a major impact. You’ll help us build cohesive and compelling user experiences on top of our in-house data platform for hundreds of thousands of SolarWinds customers. Some projects you would work on include: real time data visualization, customizable dashboards, tools for working with structured log data, and scaling out front-end application infrastructure.
We’ve built our application stack on TypeScript, React, GraphQL, gRPC, and NodeJS (Express). We use Git/GitHub to manage & review code, communicate over Slack, push code to production via our ChatOps bot, and run all production applications on AWS. We also use an array of SaaS applications to get code to production quickly and reliably. We are a distributed team that is committed to a healthy work/life balance and prefer asynchronous communication to meetings. Your are adept at working with a high performing team to build modern web applications. You care deeply about user experience and expect to iterate as we figure out how things should look, work and feel. You appreciate (and design) code/patterns that nudge engineers in the right direction.
