Under immediate supervision, assists in performing the analysis, design, development, testing, debugging and implementation of software application programs in support of distinct product hardware or technical service lines of business.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Translates requirements into design document, which specifies the approach, technical solutions, impact of the existing software, and risks.
Performs all necessary aspects of the programming phase of software development including coding, programmer testing, debugging and documenting using current guidelines and standards. Works within current architecture framework and maintains performance standards to meet customer specifications.
Responsible for developing new features and maintenance of existing web application as requested by the customers. Bug fixing as needed.
Participates in the development of test plans.
Identifies and assist in finding resolution of software interface issues or other technical problems.
Ensures software standards are met.
Participates in the preparation of technical proposals.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of directly related experience. Professional certification(s) may be required.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Familiar with the principles, practices, and procedures used in software and systems development.
Experience with software development tools and programming languages.
A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
Familiar with Java and GWT/Vaadin.
Familiar with Sencha GXT, XML, XSLT, HTML, and CSS
Familiar with Eclipse, SVN/Git, Bugzilla/JIRA, Junit Tests.
