Job Description

The Social Media Strategist is accountable for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy supporting Prime Therapeutics’ business goals. This position will ensure key message alignment and a comprehensive brand voice across all social channels and provide consultation for internal partners across the enterprise, as well as for owner/client Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations with the goal of maximizing the value of social media programs. This role is accountable for monitoring analytics, providing insights, and refining strategy as needed to maximize engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Create social media strategy and secure leadership support for overall program
  • Manage the activities for Prime’s social channels; publish content and engage with influencers and followers, and coordinate production of key social media assets such as graphics and video with Prime’s in-house creative team
  • Develop and execute custom programs for 1) select Prime researchers to create awareness of Prime’s thought leadership and generate speaking opportunities in support of key business priorities and 2) to support Talent Acquisition’s most acute hiring needs and ongoing summer intern program
  • Extend the reach of press releases and company announcements by engaging key influencers through social media and driving increased awareness and opportunities
  • Provide social media process development, documentation and training for Prime’s domestic contact centers which provide 24x7 social media monitoring
  • Support B2B marketing programs with detailed, comprehensive competitive research and social listening
  • Lead the social media engagement board and keep leadership informed and supportive of social media initiatives through engaging regular communication and reporting
  • Keep current on industry trends and predict opportunities for Prime to optimize social media best practices; analyze social media content reach and trends
  • Coach leaders and teams in maximizing social media for their teams and business areas providing customized LinkedIn training
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 5 years of work experience in marketing, public relations, or related role
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Process development and training experience
  • Health care or PBM industry experience
  • MBA, or other relevant advanced degree, study or training
