Summary of the Position:The Social Media Manager will develop and implement the company's comprehensive social media marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, customer loyalty and other company goals and objectives. The Social Media Manager will support and work closely with the Veterinary Sciences and Consumer Care Brand teams and external agencies to seamlessly guide and deliver projects success and ongoing results.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategic plan, including social media content calendars, and social mediasupport for trade shows/events, etc.
  • Lead social media activations, including but not limited to cross-platform social media advertising, organic content creation and engagement, influencer marketing, sponsorship awareness and analytics reporting.
  • Become a social media advocate for the Company, engaging in dialogues and working with Customer Service in answering questions where appropriate.
  • Measure social media, lead generating and marketing results, and effectively translate analytics into actionable insights to consistently drive brand and company success.
  • Routinely work with E-commerce team to coordinate special offers/campaigns.
  • Support SEO and SEM initiatives through optimization of social media strategies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding social media best practices in order to provide timely recommendations.
  • Attend related networking and professional development events to stay abreast of the latest trends.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives.

Minimum Requirements Experience in social media management for a business/organization, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube and Instagram. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task. Detail oriented with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. Must be computer literate, preferably in a Windows environment with familiarity with Web products and social media dashboards (i.e. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc). Ability to think independently. Must have creative writing/original thinking abilities and able to write impactful content that resonate with each platform's target audience.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications. Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a social media management role with proven successes in social mediacampaigns, paid social and influencer programs. Experience working in a CPG organization is a plus.
