We are are global CPG Manufacturing company with Iconic brands and leadership positions in many of our categories.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic evolution of our brands by developing breakthrough social media strategies, campaigns and content to engage and grow our communities, and deliver on brand and business objectives. As a key brand steward, the Social Media Manager will partner with both internal teams and external agencies to define short- and long-term social media strategies and develop and deploy social mediacampaigns, content, analytics, reporting, community growth targets, and social mediaprocesses for the organization. This role will also manage all brand-owned social media properties on a day-to-day basis with outside agency support.
This role requires a deep understanding of the social medialandscape and digital marketing. It also requires experience in community management, social listening, paid media, analytics and reporting, influencer strategy, content, and campaign development. The successful candidate must have a proven record of leading social media strategy and execution - end to end. The successful candidate must demonstrate critical thinking, superior communication skills and collaborative leadership.
This will be a highly visible role in the organization , and will have direct interactions with key internal and external stakeholders, including agency partners.. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Digital & Social Media and be a part of the Marketing Communications department.
Develop and execute a social media strategy..
Establish a unique brand voice and consistent look and feel on our social media platforms.
Manage the editorial calendar and creative development process with the support of our internal teams and agency partners.
Define the role of each social media property, and develop and deploy a specific content strategy for each platform.
Serve as the community manager for the brand-owned social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn),.
Manage social listening activities and capture learnings/insights/analytics to support strategy and content optimization efforts; prepare quarterly report to key internal stakeholders.
Refine our social media policies and processes for content creation, publishing calendars, brand and product campaigns, social influencer partnerships and user outreach.
Partner with leaders and internal stakeholders to help them achieve their brand and business objectives through social media.
Plan, develop, launch, manage, and analyze integrated social campaigns.
Make recommendations for paid media strategy within the social landscape.
Partner with Consumer Affairs to track and report on consumer inquiries submitted through social channels.
Explore and identify potential partners, networks and programs in the social space.
Serve as our subject matter expert on topics of social media within our larger global organization of companies.
Set and achieve KPIs including growth and engagement targets for all brand-owned social media properties.
Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in social media, social media community management, social content creation, digital marketing, digital project management, digital technology, or a related field on either the corporate or agency side. CPG and/or major consumer brand experience.
Demonstrated understanding of social media strategies for large CPG brands with specific examples from previous work.
A passion for the role that digital/social can play and the ability to be a digital/social evangelist and thought leader within the organization.
Core understanding of analytics and how to use data to drive content and campaign decisions.
Creative acumen and understanding of how brands bring stories to life in the digital/social space.
Experience with social listening platforms.
Experience with 3rd party vendor and agency management.
Understanding of design best practices and emerging trends.
Photo editing and illustration skills – experience with Adobe creative suite a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of modern digital technologies and emerging digital and social platforms.
Be well versed in digital best practices and strategies including but not limited to website design, mobile platforms, and ecommerce.
Superior presentation, writing and editing skills.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and desire to drive results.
