The social media team is passionate about creating clear, engaging content for our branded websites and implementing social best practices to increase traffic, engagement, and brand visibility across the web. Our Social Media Manager will play a key role in leading the strategy around attracting prospects around key demographic groups.

A Successful Social Media Manager...

Is a motivated individual who never wants to stop learning as the social media space is constantly evolving. The person best suited for this role is Austin, Texas based with at least 5-7 years of demonstrable experience creating, managing, and reporting on social campaigns for enterprise companies. You are also comfortable in crafting strategy and in communicating the benefit of that strategy beyond basic “vanity” metrics.

You are a self-starter who works well independently, but also thrives in a team environment where everyone is working together to reach and exceed their goals, overcome obstacles, and celebrate successes. You love asking “Why?” and offering feedback/recommendations to help our team work efficiently and effectively. You can juggle multiple projects and tasks, and enjoy that every work day may not be the same. You thrive in environments filled with new ideas and change, as our company is constantly evolving.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Create and edit engaging social content tailored to our demographic groups across multiple social platforms
  • Create a social media calendar in conjunction with the Content team
  • Conduct occasional research on industry trends and news as it relates to home buyers
  • Track the social media activity of our competitors and report on interesting data
  • Analyze various metrics in order to inform content strategy & track progress toward department and personal performance goals
  • Assist in identifying influencers and key contributors.
  • Help in the development of campaigns, such as giveaways, that help increase brand awareness in the market
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing and PR teams to coordinate promotional efforts.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing and/or equivalent professional social mediaexperience
  • 4-6 years of experience creating campaigns with at least 1-2 of those years directing strategy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines. However, we will succeed excel as a team and you must have that mindset, too
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors
  • Experience managing and mentoring direct reports.
