JOB SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about figuring out how best to reach and share information across owned channels and social media platforms.
In this role you will live and breathe content and understand how it impacts B2B target audience segments, establishes credibility, and communicates thought leadership.
The role will be accountable for driving achievement against metrics and will measure and report on the effectiveness of his/her efforts to optimize activities and track ROI.
Your experience will include social strategy, producing and conceptualizing creative blog content, and day-to-day community management.
You will manage all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats to drive lead generation and brand awareness.
The ideal candidate has proven experience with content and channel optimization, brand consistency, segmentation and localization, analytics and meaningful measurement.
You think like a journalist and can lead the development of content initiatives in all forms to drive new and current business.

The Social Media Manager will function in a B2B product and brand management function, to support the Marketing Department in the following areas:
Be the keeper of the Organizational SVI/US story.
Collaborate with marketing and PR, sales, product line and leadership teams to help define both the brand story and the story as interpreted by the customer.
Create a content strategy and editorial calendar that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work best for the brand and why.
Build and maintain B2B social profiles (LinkedIn/Twitter/Instagram, specifically) as part of overall recommendation.
Help establish a streamlined process and workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
Create and strategically recycle/repurpose highly targeted, multi-channel collateral for each stage of the sales and customer lifecycle.
Be the subject matter expert for social media best practices and policies.
Live coverage of events on social media, both in person and remote.
Partner with PR, Innovation & Quality and Product Marketing teams to ensure social amplification on key communications.
Engage and educate company employees in becoming brand ambassadors, actively participating on the social web.
Build collaborative relationships and leverage subject-matter experts internally and externally – i.e., freelance, industry influencers, internal thought leaders, product marketing, customers and partners.
Help manage, curate and contribute to the company intranet.
Plan and manage webinar programs.
Copy edit all contributed content.
Work with marketing team, PR agency and messaging firm to craft press-worthy stories and build content programs around them.
Ensure that all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and social promotion.
Track, measure and report on key social metrics monthly to prove and improve ROI of social efforts. Champion these results across the company.
Liaise with leadership teams to analyze performance metrics and adapt strategy as needed.
Assist the Corporate Brand and Content Managers in researching and developing a corporate point of view on emerging trends, specific products, and more.
Coordinate with internal teams to promote company initiatives and amplify external communications.
Develop social advertising program to build following on profiles, drive impressions and strong engagement.

Skills and Experience:

*Experience with B2B marketing and/or content marketing.
*Superior written and verbal communications skills.
*Proven ability to represent a brand or cause on social media.
*Possess a passion for learning new marketing technologies, strategy, and best practices.
*Ability to build and execute plans involving multiple internal teams or stakeholders.
*Ability to work with a variety of personality types and handle a fast-paced environment.
*Capacity to ask questions and track down answers with confidence, and lead projects/programs with minimal direction.
*Collaborative work style; skill in working independently and in cross-functional teams.
*Basic understanding of content management systems, SEO and keyword research and web analytics tools.
*Must provide writing samples or link to portfolio.
*Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to prioritize and seek guidance when multiple projects are competing for the same limited resources.
*Demonstrated success in a mid-senior level B2B editorial or content marketing role, preferably with a background in food and/or agriculture.
*Demonstrated social and digital communications expertise, keeping up on latest trends and changes in platforms.
*Ability to take complex ideas or technologies and simplify them for a broader readership.
*Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding writing, proofreading, fact checking and editing skills.
*Creativity and a healthy sense of humor.
*High energy and proactive attitude.
*Self-starter.
*3-5 years of experience.
*Bachelor’s degreerequired.
