The Social Marketing Manager will be expected to develop, coordinate and manage a variety of corporate, product and brand content designed to engage users, creating an interactive relationship between our community and our company and products. The successful candidate must demonstrate proven skill and experience in hands-on development and management of social media strategies and tactics, working in highly cross-functional and fast-paced environments, and must be skilled in collecting, analyzing and reporting on our social media activities to determine how to iterate and evolve campaigns over time.

This role is based in Menlo Park, CA, andreports into the Global Marketing Director.


  • Define the strategy, roadmap and success metrics for social marketing activities across the Oculus brand, products and programs that align to our goals and broader marketing activities
  • Implement a coordinated and curated content editorial calendar that supports our communications needs
  • Manage and execute individual social mediacampaigns and content targeting the right message to the right audience, leveraging best practices for both organic/boosted content and community management and listening
  • Build strong, positive working relationships across different cross-functional teams to ensure timely and well-coordinated planning and deployment of social mediacampaigns and content
  • Track, analyze and report on campaign results providing ROI optimization and improvement recommendations
  • Develop quarterly reports updating Marketing, Communications, and Leadership teams on industry best practices and emerging social media trends
  • Identify and improve organizational and technological needs to create more efficient process and approach
  • Manage external vendor relationships, including sourcing, onboarding and day-to-day engagement
  • Fiscal accountability and management of overall social mediabudget

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of social media marketing experience (specifically managing Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), responsible for multi-faceted and/or product lines in the technology, financial, CPG, entertainment, or fashion industry
  • 3+ years in leadership/management role, demonstrating experience engaging and operating with senior management
  • Creative sense and experience pushing category innovations
  • Knowledge in using data and insights to inform strategy and recommendations
  • Experience in both driving strategy and in campaign execution
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
