This role is responsible for developing, and maintaining intuitive business process and/or social web applications for internal and external clients.


  • Participate in key stakeholder meeting and ensure high quality functional requirements are gathered for the implementation of the solution
  • Develop high-risk, complex solution designs; apply extensive experience and best practice knowledge in solutions
  • Perform unit and integration testing
  • Communicate and gain approval from stakeholders on each application development solution element; revise and modify as necessary
  • Create, maintain and update documentation of project code and technical process following standards set forth by the Applications team
  • Migrate high-risk, complex solutions into production environment; support stakeholder throughout go-live process
  • Continue successful support of solution until no longer in use
  • Assist in training and support of end-users on developed applications
  • Work with third party vendors to solve problems and open support issues
  • Collaborate with other IS areas in the development of larger solutions
  • Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the team; remain current on best practices and market trends
  • Understand the technical intricacies of assigned applications
  • Provide guidance to other team members


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Significant experience as an Application Developer
  • Experience in all phases of web development, including front and back-end
  • Strong coding skills and technical architecture
  • Advanced skills in C#, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, IIS and Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of web-server functionality
  • Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
  • Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical people
  • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
  • Driven to learn and stay current professionally
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight
  • Up to 5% travel time required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
