Mission Solutions develops, delivers, and operates affordable engineering and sustainment solutions for commercial, military and intelligence users across the globe. These mission critical efforts include development of innovative enterprise, cloud and application-based solutions for processing and data analysis of space-based programs in support of national security.

The Apex Hardware Engineer is part of the team responsible for design, specification and provisioning of computer systems in support of the Apex Development Team. Responsibilities include:
- Translating customer contractual needs and requirements into system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
- Developing either COTS or custom solutions as required by the customer; able to develop a detailed trade-study for comparing the best solutions.
- Evaluating vendor proposals and analyzing test reports
- Developing and implementing designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities
- Planning, directing, reviewing and coordinating preparation of project documentation and artifacts internally as well as with the customer

An active TS/SCI Clearance required for this role.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering, computer science or technical discipline.

Experience in designing and provisioning complex computer systems including servers, networks, storage and cabling

Experience writing, reviewing and verifying system requirements

Experience developing and delivering documentation

An active TS/SCI clearance
Desired Skills:
Systems engineering knowledge and experience

Python, Bash or similar scripting experience

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

VMware experience

Demonstrated understanding of Agile development

Strong teamwork and user support skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.
