  • Brief Description
  • LinQuest is seeking SIOD Watch Officers to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. In this position you will be continuously monitoring the operational status of the SATCOM enterprise, and provide responsive coordination, integration, and synchronization of anomalous conditions across all SATCOM spectrums, services, and organizations.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Integrates and synthesizes specific band, including protected and commercial bandwidth, situational awareness information into a combined operational picture to enable decision-making and response options.
  • Supports strategic, operational, and tactical levels of warfare, enabling Joint Electro-Magnetic Spectrum Operations and "Fighting SATCOM", through coordinating management and de-confliction of narrowband, wideband, protected, commercial, gateway and international partner SATCOM in support of USSTRATCOM orders, CFSCC, and future Commander USSPACECOM.
  • Interfaces with Intel, Cyber, CIC, DISA, SOPs, NSDC, EW, frequency management, and SATCOM users and stakeholders.
  • When issues arise, rapidly characterizes the situation and synchronizes the SIOD response understanding impacts across all bands and user communities.
  • Reports status of each event in accordance with established reporting criteria.
  • Recommends COAs to CFSCC through the CSpOC/CCO and executes approved COAs.
  • Provides communications to and coordination with the SIOD Forward Detachment for multiple spectrum/cross domain events.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for all SATCOM systems and networks.
  • Leads and coordinates the anomaly resolution and Defensive Space Control (DSC) process and development of response options.
  • Working with the SIOD Chief, SIOD Technical Advisor, EMI Cell, C-SSEs, Satellite Operations Squadrons (SOPs), Satellite Operations Centers (SOCs) and users, receives EMI and jamming reports, coordinates the restoration/resolution/EMI resolution process that directly supports DSC event processes, actions, and operations, and develops response options.
  • Manages timely characterization and geolocation, leverages operational experience to assess and recommend response options to potential threat events.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of multiple anomalous events to identify coordinated attacks, and develops appropriate response options.
  • Requirements
  • 10 years Protected, Wideband, Narrowband, Commercial, and/or international Partner SATCOM Experience at Strategic, Operational and Tactical levels in technical or leadership roles.
  • Operational SATCOM Experience in Army, Air Force, Navy or Joint Service Operations Center or Unit.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

  • Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience as Consolidated SATCOM Systems Engineer (C-SSE) for Protected, Wideband, Narrowband, or Commercial bands.
  • DISA Gateway Experience.
  • EMI Resolution Process Experience.
  • Satellite Operations Center/Squadron (SOCs/SOPs) Experience.
  • JFCC SPACE Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) Unit Experience.
  • National Space Defense Center (NSDC) unit Experience.
  • SATCOM Integrated Operations Division (SIOD) unit Experience.
  • Joint Task Force Space Defense (JTF-SD) unit Experience.
  • Combined Force Space Component Commander unit Experience (CFSCC).
