POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintain and administer the Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis; as well as install, configure, and maintain security software in support of the S6 communications office.

               MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:         

Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections which include ASG-QA’s main SharePoint portals, team sites, and Tenant unit sites.

Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution.

Work with ASG-QA S6 leadership to design and develop solutions to address mission needs, and propose changes that would make the SharePoint environment a more effective solution.

Responsible for both classified and unclassified Microsoft SharePoint Portals through the use of DOD-approved Government-furnished operating systems and software.

Coordinate with ASG-QA divisions in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored, retrieved, and organized on the ASG-QA Microsoft SharePoint site.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the flow and/or disposition information and the way is stored, retrieved, and organized on the ASG-QA Microsoft SharePoint site, the ASG-QA Intranet site, and the ASG-QA ShareDrive (Q-Drive).

Provide technical guidance to ASG-QA and Tenant units in the technologies related to the development and support of an Enterprise SharePoint environment (understanding the relationship with active directory, SQL, IIS, etc).

Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test and implementation plans for small to large and complex projects.

Generate website statistics and reports as needed, using custom or packaged tools

Perform as the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Develop and maintain user and technical manuals and guidelines.

Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. Army Regulations, DoD regulations, ARCENT, ASG policies and procedures.

Provide professional SharePoint support and customer service to ASG-QA and Tenant units.

Assist the QBOSS IMO with maintaining and updating the QBOSS Server network and perform IMO duties as requested to assist the QBOSS Program.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

General office equipment and supplies, Computer, Cell phone, Vehicle.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This position works both indoors and out. During a large portion of the year this position will be exposed to extreme heat, sand and dust. Normal work week is 48 hours, 5 days a week. Must be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position requires flexibility in work hours.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Work environment is often fast paced and at times requires exposure to high heat and humidity.

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Bachelor’s Degree or above in computer science, or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years SharePoint experience 19871987

Experience with Active Directory, PowerShell and scripting languages.

Experience in web development technologies ASP.NET. C#, AJAX, HTML & CSS.

DoD Required (IAT Level II)

At least one or more of the following: COMPTIA Network + or Security +

 

Technical Required:

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Windows Server 2008

MCITP Database Administrator and Developer 2008

MCSD: SharePoint Applications: Solutions Developer
