What Will Your Role Be?

  • Project Consulting and Project Delivery
  1. Demonstrate ability to deliver individual and lead team based mining technical studies
  2. Demonstrate expert product knowledge, its functionality and application to industry
  3. Ability to conduct Mining Process Framework(MPF) based (on site) technical assessments that deliver new business growth and/or cement GEOVIA’s technology and services footprint
  4. Deliver classroom training and implementation projects
  5. Project and Technical support for partners
  • Technical Consulting & Product Support
  1. Enhance Center of Excellence (CoE) consulting practices
  2. Mentor/Coach junior staff as required
  3. Participate in cross-brand project initiatives to derive new go-to-market solutions
  4. Provide feedback on product direction, improvements and enhancements
  5. Provide Level 2 support to achieve high level customer satisfaction
  • Business Development
  1. Contribute to CoE business development strategy and services profitability
  2. Participate in the preparation/review of services proposals, bids and tenders
  3. Initiate, maintain and build client relationships
  4. Development & Financial Contribution
  • Project Management
  1. Effectively and timely completes all individual deliverables
  2. Effectively manage customer engagements/project deliverables including – master schedule, Statement of Work, deliverable templates, shared library, expenses, and project status reports
  3. Able to effectively identify and analyze, articulate potential project risks and escalate as required
  4. Able to effectively manage project accounting

The Challenges Ahead

  • With our direct Business Transformation Sales Channel, you will contribute to the Value Delivery of Scope of Work through close collaboration with our Tech-Sales organization and also support our partners when involved in a Tech Sales Engagement
  • Working with our indirect Solution Sales, you will also train, coach and support the introduction of new solutions.  You will also support other Geos or organization on specific technical domains or events if necessary, as well as ensuring technical support with the partner

Your Key Success Factors

  • 30-40% Travel Required
  • BS Engineering
  • 5+ years in the implementation of Mining Technical Systems in medium/large organizations
  • 5+ years in a client-facing Consulting or Business leadership role
  • Experience in open pit and/or underground mining
  • Ability to work with international and remote teams
  • Mining Consulting – Due Diligence, Pre- Feasibility study experience
  • Mining Process Modeling
  • Strong knowledge in business process, pain points and challenges in mining companies
  • English and Spanish or French skills
  • Very good presentation and communication skills
  • Strong complex project sales skills
  • Skills in GEOVIA solutions preferred (Surpac, MineSched, Whittle, etc.)
  • Business administration skills
