  • Primary Responsibilities:Demonstrates and applies understandings of modern development methodologies and tools to develop and deploy and maintain solutions
  • Write, debug and test code to create working solutions
  • Understand and apply unique programming/scripting languages specific to software engineering
  • Understand and influence underlying architecture of solutions and how it meets business goals
  • Apply modern practices, e.g., DevOps, Agile, Cloud, ATDD, Mobile First, etc.
  • Build instrumentation and diagnostic to support integration of maintenance into development
  • Develop self-documenting functions, API and/or micro services
  • Leverage modern components, tools and technologies to design decoupled, modular, flexible solutions
  • Build and support ATDD/agile development and continuous integration; continuous delivery environment (CICD)
  • Proactively manage and monitor the operational characteristics of software solutions
  • Use and develop algorithms
  • Use and develop data structures
  • Know serval languages and can apply right language to the right problem
  • Implement solutions that exemplify modern practices
  • Reuse and/or develops moderately advanced instrumentation and diagnostics
  • Reuse and develops self-documenting functions, API's and micro-services to solve moderately advanced problems
  • Implement modern components, tools and technologies
  • Implement practices that support ATDD and CICD
  • I mplement solutions to address issues and ensure efficient and consistent solutions



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow experience
  • 5+ years of ITSM experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow implementations
  • System integration experience using web services and other web based technologies such as XML
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members
  • Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management or other ITSM application
  • Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications
  • Exposure to ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools like Discovery and Orchestration, and other applications like ServiceWatch, GRC, etc.
  • Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow
  • Ability to create and manage scripts and workflow
  • Experience in at least (1) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle)
  • Fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
  • Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side Javascript and the ServiceNow APIs
  • Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to other applications
  • Experience customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages, UI Macro and CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly
  • Experience with custom UI changes with usage of Web Technologies such as DOM, HTML changes
  • Experience with ServiceNow's ServiceWatch and/or Discovery tools
  • Experience presenting and conducting demo reviews with client stakeholders
