The Work

Teradata's Global Support Organization (GSO) is looking for a ServiceNow Architect to design and deliver the vision of process improvement and workflow automation to provide our customers with best-in-class user experience. You will work closely with the ServiceNow development team and business users in GSO to drive solutions to use cases and requirements for initiatives relating to change management modernization, service analytics, remote support automation, phone home alerting, automatic incident creation, event-triggered diagnostics, and more. You're ideally ITIL certified and have a fundamental understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL business processes. You will utilize your proven development experience in ServiceNow application customization using client scripts, Business Rules, UI Scripts, etc. The candidate should also possess the ability to create, administer and manage Workflow Configurations.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver – You'll help drive Teradata's cutting-edge vision of remote support and service automation, aiming to enhance the overall customer support experience
  • Lead – Help to build a team of ServiceNow developers to enable an automation-first support organization
  • Build – Architect solutions and develop roadmaps to achieve the vision and drive implementation of the capability to time-bound roadmap targets
  • Teach – Mentor the development team on industry best practices and cultivate subject matter expertise
  • Advise – Your expertise in technical and functional design requirements for ServiceNow will help guide our roadmap
  • Architect integrations with Service-Now using LDAP, CMDB, Discovery, Mid-server, Web-Services, Email, and other relevant technologies
  • Design and Architect Automation Workflows using Service-Now Orchestrator, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Workflow Editor
  • Documentation – Track and deliver technical design documents
  • Requirements Analysis – Test, analyze, collaborate, and assist with translating business requirements into technical specs to ensure smooth implementation of new enhancements, applications or modules
  • Best Practices – Utilize best practices for development, conducting thorough testing, analysis, and certification of changes to ServiceNow
  • Change Management – Adhere to Teradata policies and procedures around testing, testing, new application development, and all instance upgrades
  • Testing – Update & maintain a comprehensive testing protocol for ServiceNow instance upgrades with the purpose of certifying all workflows for use after the upgrade completes
  • Executive Presence – you'll need to present complex ideas succinctly and clearly
  • Partnering – You'll work with various Teradata business process owners to deliver the highest quality product
  • Keep your Skills Sharp – Remain current on ServiceNow features and best practices as well as industry trends including ITIL and ITSM

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or another related field or higher (preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional ServiceNow design and development experience
  • Prior experience configuring and demonstrating solutions in the ServiceNow platform
  • 5+ years of experience with key ServiceNow integration solutions including SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SOAP, SCP, FTPS
  • 8+ years of overall software engineering experience (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.), PowerShell, SaaS applications, network operations (networks, protocols and email [SMTP, POP3])
  • Prior experience implementing ServiceNow best practices and procedures
  • 5+ years of experience with ITIL methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases
  • Demonstrated ability to not only design and architect in ServiceNow, but to problem solve, troubleshoot, and provide end-user support in ServiceNow
