H2 is seeking a ServiceNow Application Developer to support our government client in San Diego, CA.

The ServiceNow Application Developer responsibilities include:

  • Design, test and debug ServiceNow client-side and server-side scripts, manage applications, implement application security, and automate applications.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders as needed to transform operational and Program Office needs into technical and design requirements to be applied within ServiceNow
  • Maintain and improve on usability, user interface and design of existing client ServiceNow platform
  • Provide recommendations for the ServiceNow portal design and development according to best practices
  • Participate in planning/review meetings as required
  • Participate in internal company Integrated Product Team to improve collaboration and impart knowledge across varying Program Office support tasks

Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Ability to get a DoD Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field, or 3 years' equivalent work experience
  • Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD)
  • Experience in JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX
  • Experience with Client and Server scripting and APIs
  • Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail
  • Ability to both work in a fast paced and dynamic environment on short term projects and the ability to work on longer term projects requiring extended planning time

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a ServiceNow System Administrator, or at minimum general experience with application development and system administration
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework
  • Familiarity with Department of Navy (DON) command organization and IT infrastructure
  • Familiarity with general Cyber Security Certification and Accreditation practices
