Overview

Waters Corporation is currently leading a search for a Principal Consulting Service Readiness Specialist - Biopharmaceutical Market to join our Waters Global Services team. In this role, the Service Readiness Specialist will provide services personnel with the training, tools, content, support, and analytics that enable world-renowned services within the biopharmaceutical market.

Responsibilities

  • Dedicated to all aspects of the biopharmaceutical market in the Waters Global Services organization (WGS)
  • Works across multiple departments, disciplines and teams
  • Foster constructive and cooperative working relationships with marketing, quality, professional services, service support, and services engineering groups
  • Propose and evaluate new education and support strategies, processes, and technologies that would enhance biopharmaceutical market-specific service offerings and benefit our service specialists and customers
  • Establish, lead and/or participate in cross-functional Global Services teams, inclusive of Customer Services delivery organizations to develop, define and oversee the execution of critical biopharmaceutical program elements
  • Oversee development of outcome-based services, collaborating with Scientific Operations and Professional Services Business Development to commercialize biopharmaceutical application solutions
  • Define biopharmaceutical market-specific services requirements for new products, systems, and chemistries as part of the Waters Product Development Process (WPDP)
  • Create training plans and coordinate development, completion and distribution of training packages
  • Lead activities associated with design, development, and delivery of engaging impactful training courses for Waters services personnel inclusive of Analytical Professional Services
  • Pilot new training programs, and conduct train-the-trainer activities to enable regional delivery
  • Implement evaluation strategies for new courses. Continually monitor training effectiveness and make improvements to prior work
  • Meet routinely with Global Service Support (GSS) engineers for escalation review for biopharmaceutical applications, review products coming to the biopharmaceutical market, service documentation review, etc.
  • Provide real time support to the Waters Global Services personnel on biopharmaceutical applications
  • Coordinate and input product related issues to Quality organization and Product Management
  • Maintain technical knowledge and education acumen
  • Attend service meetings to present on biopharmaceutical education and service support development

Qualifications

  • BS/BSc or higher in analytical chemistry, biology, or related science; MS/MSc or PhD is beneficial
  • 5+ years of work experience specializing in liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and/or laboratory informatics within the biopharmaceutical market
  • Prior experienceworking with Waters systems is beneficial
  • 3+ years of experience developing and/or delivering technical training courses
  • Prior project management experience is beneficial
  • Ability to influence non-direct reports and lead cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse employees across global locations
  • Extensive knowledge of area of product responsibility including hardware, software and customer application
