Administrator's role is to configure, operate and perform maintenance on computer systems including hardware, software, web portals, internet and intranet connections, firewalls, servers, and security that allow company infrastructures to function. They consider the size, resources, data needs, desired user experience to determine solutions for existing systems as well as systems gained through Acquisition.

Responsibilities:

To accomplish their main functions of bringing together the pieces or architecture of a system while ensuring that current and future performance and scalability are achievable.

Position Requirements:

  • Designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals
  • Managing and maintaining systems and software
  • Research new technologies in the field of systems development and create and develop plans for investing in such systems to increase effectiveness and flexibility
  • Integrate acquired systems in the Infrastructure where needed
  • Assist with the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
  • Review new and existing system designs and make recommendations for improving or altering systems
  • Consult with department heads and end-users to further infrastructure development
  • Develop policies for standardizing systems and change processes

Education:

B.S. degree in computer science or other technical area and/or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

5-10 years in a mid-sized to large IT environment

Other desired skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, Sites & Services, and DFS
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare and/or Hyper-V)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
