Overview

Everyday Health Consumer is looking for a rockstar SEO Manager who will be responsible for executing, analyzing and growing organic traffic from the major search engines. You will work with our editorial development and traffic acquisition teams to ensure we are meeting our core KPIs within our varying conditions. This role will report into the Head of Audience Development.

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee day-to-day SEO efforts for Everyday Health
  • Develop and provide reporting daily/weekly/monthly reporting on the health of SEO
  • Develop strategies to continue growth
  • Perform keyword ranking and gap analyses, identify seasonal trends
  • Drive recommendations and implementation of metadata and descriptions
  • Coordinate with the editorial team to ensure best practices are in place and a laser focus on keyword optimization
  • Technical monitoring of site architecture, webmaster tool errors and crawl issues
  • Implement a backlinking strategy to grow domain authority
  • Coordinate internal communication of SEO best practices
  • Collaborate with traffic acquisition team to set direction for daily tasks and process related to all search engine marketing efforts

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of prior SEOexperience, ideally in an enterprise level capacity
  • Proactive – results-focused, initiative-taker, creative thinker and dynamic team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects and meeting tight timelines
  • Comfortable working on projects with remote teams
  • Expert in enterprise level link building strategy and deployment
  • Expert knowledge of both past and present SEO best practices, resources and industry tools
  • Strong knowledge of PPC, social media & related digitalchannels with impact on SEO
  • Highly skilled in developing effective keyword targeting strategy, prioritizing SEO initiatives, and executing on planned SEO tactics
  • Creative, open minded, willingness to learn and experiment, while not afraid to voice opinions
  • Demonstrated experience leading SEO process for large websites
  • Familiarity with Google webmaster tools and other such tools
  • Experience with Omniture/Google Analytics a plus
  • Experience working with editorial teams and online media publishers preferred
  • Undergraduatedegree in business, marketing, computer science or related field
