Job Function / Summary: Under general direction, this position delivers Human Resource (HR) support to realize the full potential and overall effectiveness of the Workday integrated, cloud-based human resource information system (HRIS). This position works closely with members of HR, as well as all corporate support and operations teams, to ensure the effective use, accuracy, integrity, security and availability of HRIS data. As an advisor, you should expect to routinely validate and improve our existing business process with a focus on all Workday integrations, reporting, applied use of data by functional / operations teams, and ongoing data validation to maintain consistent high quality and integrity of data within the Workday platform.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as an internal consultant and overall Workday engagement manager to drive the functionality of the Workday system, facilitating discussions to understand business and information needs of business partners/end-users and make recommendations about how the system can best meet those needs for overall tenant effectiveness
  • Facilitate the bi-annual release planning process with the individual HR business process stakeholders to enhance their HR adoption and use of Workday’s new capabilities
  • Manage projects and process improvement efforts for assigned Workday functional areas, including compliance with company change management procedures
  • Guide Project SMEs on how to build effective, efficient and repeatable test cases to streamline testing with consideration of critical business process dependencies (ex. position management, organizational data, and analytics)
  • Identify, assess, and solve?complex business problems?for integrating the Workday cloud application with internal and external applications across a wide array of functional areas, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Guide the HR analysts and external vendors, partners and suppliers to test integrations between Workday and 3rd party solutions as needed
  • Direct the Sr. HR Analyst management of the Production Tenant and Sandbox environments by establishing a well-controlled systems environment using system standards that are well defined, documented, and enforced.
  • Be accountable for adequate test planning and validation of test scripts prior to execution to ensure proper end-to-end testing of business processes configuration works as designed
  • Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new Workday functionality as needed
  • Perform Workday service and support in an advisory capacity to provide answers and troubleshoot problems successfully
  • Collaborate with counterparts to successfully deliver on shared objectives
  • Assist with the development of training plans to help end-users for assigned Workday functional areas carry out role-based and user-based responsibilities in the system
  • Create documentation for new processes and update existing documentation based on enhancements made to existing processes and tools
  • Collaborate with the Workday Community and User Groups to resolve issues found within Workday and proactively remain informed about Workday enhancements

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in human resources, business analysis, information systems or a related field required
  • 7+ years related experience and/or training, preferably in a large corporation
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing and implementing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional, structural, and regression testing
  • Minimum 2+ years of direct Workday experience to include configuring business processes, security policies, routing, and condition rules; creating and maintaining reports; and providing customer support to managers and employees
  • Minimum 1 year providing, or full implementation of, Workday Integration solutions
  • Strong understanding of HRIS and Payrollprocesses and data
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving and team oriented environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritizing is necessary
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style
  • Capable of formal applied test management practices to validate data use in all life cycles to ensure zero production defects
  • Ability to manage change effectively, always mindful of technology, business processes, and systems implications
  • Ability to identify and tackle problems proactively; research and present multiple solutions


  • 10+ years related experience and/or training
  • Prior experience in financial services sector
  • Workday certification in one or more disciplines
  • 5+ years direct Workday experience
  • 2+years gathering, design, testing and deployment of Workday integration solutions:
    • Workday Studio
    • EIBs/iLoad solutions
    • Complex reporting (calculated fields, Workday object model)
    • Cloud Connect
    • Workday HCM functional
  • Experience in multiple domain areas:
    • Payroll
    • Compensation
    • Benefits
    • Talent Management
    • HCM (including Recruiting)
    • Integrations and Reporting
  • Workday Security Administration experience

Practical experience with ETL tools and/or Data Integration products (MuleSoft, Informatica, etc...)
