We are looking for a skilled Senior Web Developer with PHP (Laravel), Wordpress, JavaScript, etc. experience to become a critical asset of our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building enterprise-level applications.

What you will do:

You will join our agile development team as a Senior Web Developer who has extensive experience with software development. You will be involved in a wide range of software design, architecture and engineering projects in support of the organizations growth and will have the opportunity to immediately contribute and build your skills in a fast-paced environment.


By helping to design, architect and write great code that rapidly enhances RE/MAX and its brands, you will play a critical role in scaling the business to meet the rapidly growing needs of our Membership. 

You are experienced with:

  • 6-10 years of experience with object-oriented PHP and a solid understanding of object-oriented concepts
  • Experience working in a variety of programming languages (JavaScript, Python, etc.)
  • Experience working in a GNU/Linux development environment
  • Expert knowledge of frameworks such as Laravel, Cake, Symphony, etc. (Laravel preferred)
  • Experience using Vagrant / Homestead
  • Knowledge of AWS / EC2 / S3 / Cloud computing solutions
  • Comfortable working in Agile methodologies
  • Experience building and maintaining MySQL and SQL
  • Knowledge of common software engineering patterns
  • Prefers to take advantage of Eloquent and Laravel's other magic methods instead of relying on raw DB/PHP queries
  • Experience using jQuery and other popular JS libraries, CSS libraries and responsive design
  • Has experience working with third-party APIs
  • Experience building services and working with APIs (REST, JSON, XML)
  • Expert knowledge using version control and Git / GitHub
  • Expert HTML/CSS and JavaScript skills
  • Gulp, Grunt, Webpack experience
  • Knowledge of Syntactically Awesome Style Sheets (Sass)
  • Mobile application development experience a plus
  • Atlassian Products (JIRA / Confluence) experience is a plus
  • IDE-PhpStorm experience (or equivalent)
  • Solid and proven experience with WordPress development

 Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain PHP enterprise software using Laravel framework
  • Write specifications, write code, complete programming, test and debug applications
  • Build robust and functionally sophisticated capabilities
  • Develop and commit organized and well-structured code
  • Conduct rigorous testing, and identify and debug issues
  • Tune solutions to optimize performance
  • Remove inefficiencies and build for scale
  • Identify ways to enhance the user experience
  • Ensure proper documentation
