We are seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Midwest region in Chicago, IL with experience working with clients to provide planning, design, construction oversight and operational services to water / wastewater systems. 


This position is responsible for the technical development and project management of municipal and industrial water supply and wastewater systems.  The senior engineer will have a Midwestern US network of water/wastewater connections and regional expertise in one or more of the following: Water supply, treatment, transmission and distribution; Wastewater conveyance and treatment; and/or Beneficial reuse of effluents, nutrients, and biogases, and residuals handling.




Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical);
  • 10+ year's experience of water / wastewater system and process design experience;
  • IL Professional Engineer;
  • Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft products including SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to write technical reports and project correspondence, and make public presentations.
  • Willingness to travel predominantly in the greater Chicago area.



Preferred Requirements: 

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering;
  • Experience working on water and wastewater facilities for NE Illinois communities and agencies;
  • Experience serving as task manager / project manager of complex projects;
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to water/wastewater process engineering.
