Overview

Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a Senior Virtualization Administrator to join our OTIS Team. The Senior Virtualization Administrator will collaborate with our manufacturing and industrial customers on design, configuration and implementation of advanced computing systems. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.

Responsibilities

Design, configure and install advanced computing infrastructure

Communicate with customers and lead delivery of projects

Provide technical leadership for junior team members

Provide troubleshooting services to our customers

Provide assessments of current OT infrastructure at customer facilities

Work within project teams consisting of clients, electrical engineers, and control system programmers to deliver integrated automation solutions

Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

2 or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Network/Systems Administration or Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and related experience/training

5-7 years' experience in Information Technology and ground up system design and configuration

VMware Certification, Storage systems certifications, or other relevant professional-level certifications

Experience with advanced virtualization and storage troubleshooting, analysis, and performance tuning

Experience with advanced virtualization performance monitoring and tuning tools

Preferred Skills:

Customer service oriented

Excellent verbal and written communication

Operational Technology systems experience

Virtualization and Storage in a manufacturing, high availability, or similar environments

SCADA experience

Cyber Security Awareness

Ability to prioritize work and change priorities as needed

Travel: This position is in our Sioux Center, IA, Sioux Falls, SD, or West Chester, OH offices. Travel will be required up to 35% of the time.

About Interstates

Old HB, Inc., known as Hostess Brands from 2009 to 2013 and established in 1930 as Interstate Bakeries Corporation, was a wholesale baker and distributor of bakery products in the United States. Before its 2012 closure and liquidation, it owned the Hostess, Wonder Bread, Nature's Pride, Dolly Madison, Butternut Breads, and Drake's brands. For many years the company was based at 12 East Armour Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri. In 2009, after it emerged from a 2004 bankruptcy, its name was changed to Hostess Brands and its headquarters moved to Irving, Texas. Hostess Brands sought bankruptcy protection again in January 2012. On November 16, 2012, the company filed a motion in United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York in White Plains to close its business and sell its assets. On November 21, the motion was accepted and a judge agreed to sell the Hostess brands. The Hostess and Dolly Madison brands are now produced by Kansas City, Missouri-based Hostess Brands.
