Job Description

Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Enterprise Technology Communications

DC based- Hybrid Structure

The Role:

BCW is seeking to hire a strategic communications and public relations professional at the level of Senior Vice President to lead large enterprise public and private sector technology accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong media relations and PR experience supporting reputation, issues management, executive visibility, thought leadership and awareness campaigns. The Senior Vice President will be an expert at translating complex technology concepts (Cloud, AI, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, etc.) into concise and well-written narratives relevant to geo-political challenges/opportunities.

The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams, diving deep into technology, understanding how it is shaping and redefining the world we live in and engaging Private business, Government, inside-the-beltway, and technology media. A track record of positively impacting business development (both organic and net new) is required.

The Work:
• Provide senior level client counsel and account management across the private and public technology sector, demonstrating expertise in current geo-political risks/opportunities, corporate affairs and policy issues impacting semiconductors, AI, cybersecurity, data privacy and cloud migration.
• Able to leverage deep policy and media relations network in DC as well as with Top Tier National, Trade and Tech outlets.
• Develop strategic communication narratives and messages inclusive of executive visibility, thought leadership, reputation and corporate positioning.
• Play a significant role in driving new business, identifying opportunities, and contributing to RFP development.
• Serve as a mentor and manager, providing guidance on client management and professional development.
• Support and coach teams in building expertise within the B2B/B2G technology sector, fostering ongoing learning.
• Collaborate with enterprise B2B/B2G clients and their executive teams, driving
• Identify and address organizational challenges and emerging issues, devising and executing effective communications strategies.
• Manage the daily operations of client accounts, including budgeting, planning, and staff development.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 12-15 years of experience in operational-level communications, either in PR agencies or enterprise tech B2B/B2G in-house teams.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience with demonstrable impact on clients, company, and team.
• In-depth knowledge of the B2B technology sector with extensive industry knowledge encompassing a minimum of three key areas within B2B enterprise technology: artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, cloud, storage, cybersecurity, privacy and software development, etc.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships. Ability to develop strategic insights forming the foundation of integrated client plans.
• Strong business development acumen with a history of contributing to new business growth. Ability to measure ROI in communications activities.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop strategic insights forming the foundation of integrated client plans.
• Proficiency in cultivating connections with C-level executives at tech enterprises and across technology media outlets/platforms.
• Demonstrated skill in proactively building relationships with top-tier reporters and editors, achieving high-impact media placements for public and private sector enterprise clients.
• Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications specialists.
• Demonstrated expertise in effective new business development, supported by a verifiable history of successfully securing and maintaining new clients.
