Senior UX Designer

About the Role:

We seek an accomplished User Experience designer with a strong foundation in Visual Design and Design Systems. As a key member of our UX team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of User Experience Design, Software Developers, Engineers, and Product Managers to craft clean and intuitive User Experiences. From concept to execution, you'll apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive interfaces that meet user needs and business objectives. This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our Reston, VA HQ.

Responsibilities:

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts and product features.
• Maintain, develop, and evangelize a comprehensive design system in Figma with user-interface specifications for design patterns.
• Collaborate closely in cross-functional teams on multiple projects to ensure design integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work directly with developers during implementation to ensure the quality and consistency of the final result.
• Integrate business requirements and user feedback into product feature updates.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience with a focus on product design, creating clickable prototypes, and design systems.
• Experience designing digital products from start to finish including the documentation and development handoff.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong portfolio showcasing Visual Design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• An advocate for inclusive design and knowledge of accessibility best practices.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related experience.
