Engility is seeking an experienced professional to join the Space and Missions Group (SMS). SMS provides specialized program management, engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and

Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.

 

SMS has an opening for a Senior User Engagement Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to the Government customer. The customer is developing the next-generation of defense systems architectures, hardware and software solutions.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Government in developing and coordinating operational concepts (CONOPS), mission threads, and operational architectures including policy and legal considerations
  • Assist the Government in coordinating User engagement forums and meetings
  • Coordinate operations requirements with the User community and their implementation in the system development
  • Define operational processes and procedures, operational readiness plans, and assessments
  • Develop and assist with implementing operational tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Coordinate operational exercises and rehearsals for the Government team in coordination with the development contractor
  • Develop senior-level artifacts, briefings, agreements, and documents defining the capabilities of the system

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in management, engineering, science, operations, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 14 years of related experience with a Bachelor degree or at least 12 years of related experience with a Master degree
  • Excellent customer engagement, interpersonal communications, writing, and briefing skills
  • Experience with the Department of Defense and/or the Intelligence Community

 Desired Qualifications: 

  • Masters degree in management, engineering, science, operations, or related disciplines
  • Experience with coordinating staff packages within the Office of the Secretary of Defense and/or the Air Staff
  • Experience with USSTRATCOM, Air Force Space Command, and the Intelligence Community
