Primary Responsibilities

HDR Alaska currently has an opening for a Sr. Transportation/NEPA Practitioner and Project Manager to join our team in Anchorage. Primary responsibilities for this position are to plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multi-disciplinary (primarily transportation focused) transportation planning and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance projects. Prepares, plans, and schedules all activities associated with NEPA compliance efforts, including the management of technical staff resources to facilitate successful project delivery. Supports all aspects of client management and is involved with marketing, strategic planning, contracting, management and associated project development activities. Primary focus will be on FHWA and FAA NEPA, but experience with wide range of Federal agency NEPA and regulatory guidance preferred. Directs the work of others in the completion of required technical studies, documents, and reports. Requires experience with stakeholder engagement, agency coordination, large infrastructure projects, and NEPA experience. Participates in design development in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines. Is responsible for coordinating the staffing and workload of the project staff through project development.






Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant NEPA, regulatory and transportation planning experience is preferred.

• Possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnel.

• Solid background in business development; demonstrated ability to relate well to clients; and demonstrated public presentation skills.
