Senior Test Engineer - Software and IoT
Candidate to lead many of the application development testing efforts for IoT connected device development. This person will be responsible for working with a small team of test engineers and/or technicians to help manage the day-to-day activities for software quality assurance. The Senior testing engineer will work with cross-functional teams to develop test plans, test cases, and automation. This will include executing these tests and performing audits to ensuring testing coverage and accuracy. Other duties include overseeing testing policies, aligning testing needs with release management processes, aligning with QA testing efforts to ensure proper coverage, and providing support guidance to the testing team. This position will also require oversight of the unit testing and validation processes in the software development lifecycle, providing oversight to the developers on test-driven development principles. This is a highly technical role that will provide oversight in the software testing processes and provide direction to the entire team. Responsibilities include partnering with software development testers, architect and design testing strategies, develop automation and integration with automated build processes, mentor other software testers, oversee testing development efforts, and provide feedback on bugs identified in testing. This person will interface directly with the overall solutions architect and product owner ensuring development is aligned with the program's backlog.

This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home or while travelling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.
This position may at times require travel to other BISSELL global locations and strategic partners. It will require interaction with global business offices and/or suppliers in other time zones throughout the world during non-standard BHI hours to accomplish departmental goals.
