  • Job DescriptionLinQuest is searching for a Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) is a rapidly-growing military organization located on Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, NM.  The JNWC Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer - Senior provides long-range test and evaluation planning for systems that support or deny position, navigation, and time (PNT) data for military applications.  The T&E Engineer Senior is responsible for planning and securing the resources necessary to conduct an exercise or field demonstration planned to meet all objectives.  This position provides knowledge and experience for personnel conducting field operations intended to determine the effectiveness of systems in a simulated operational environment.  The JNWC supports a variety of Government agencies, but is primarily focused on the Department of Defense (DoD).   This position is part of a Navigation Warfare Navwar Training, Wargames, Exercises and Assessment Support Division comprised of Government and Contractor staff members.   Responsibilities 
    • Understand PNT systems and their contribution to military capabilities and effects 
    • Interact with JNWC Division and various government organizations to define and consolidate demonstration objectives and requirements linked to Joint warfighter operational effects
    • Link demonstration requirements to the data collection plan in order to perform analysis and characterize effects
    • Develop demonstration strategy, logistics planning, requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
    • Incorporate demonstration activities into Master Schedules, test plans, test objectives, test measures, and evaluation criteria
    • Select and coordinate ranges based on their capability to support demonstration objectives and simulate the operational environment 
    • Monitor industry demonstrations of position, navigation and time capabilities to inform military demonstrations
    • Integrate demonstration results into JNWC information products and incorporate into government procurement roadmaps and acquisition strategies
    • Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports.
    • Oversee the Test Master Schedule and the integration of Program Integrated Master Schedules, test plans, test objectives, test measures, and evaluation criteria
    • Develop T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria    
    • Collect, review, analyze, and report T&E data
    • Support development and implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the JNWC
    • Support T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)

    • Ability to communicate clearly using oral or written media
    • Excellent test planning and report writing skills 
    • Excellent organization skills 
    • Demonstrated ability to plan T&E or RDT&E events


    Preferred Skills:

    • 5-10 years of experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
    • Experience with systems that rely on GPS PNT information
    • Active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.


    Required Experience:

    • 5-10 years’ demonstrated experience in multi-faceted tests and test project teams, to include oversight of scheduling and project execution
    • 5-10 years’ test and evaluation experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
    • 5-10 years’ experience with military systems
    • 5-10 years’ experience in systems engineering
    • Current/Active DoD TOP SECRET/SCI clearance is required to be consider for this position


    Preferred Experience:

    • 5-10 years’ experience working with military and other government security representatives
    • Experience working in a SAP/SAR environment
