The SrTechnical Trainer serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the laboratory facility, and conductsinternal and external training sessions. This position isresponsible for assuring that laboratory procedures provide appropriate guidance to department staff for adherence to lab andquality standards of the company and also assures that lab activities andresponsibilities are appropriately addressed inaudits of the company, including relevantauditfindings that are communicated to appropriate staff for inclusion in training materials and presentations.


Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS in chemistry or related field
  • 5 years experience in a regulated laboratory
  • 3 years experience training in an analytical field
  • Or equivalent combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including effective mentoring and feedback skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve communication barriers due to experience level, cultural or language differences
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, resources and priorities under constantly shifting schedules
  • Effective documentation and technical writing skills
  • Competent with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Dreamweaver
  • Proficient in web based training development and systems administration
  • Knowledge of laboratory requirements, PPD SOPs, ICH guidelines, USP requirements and FDA guidance
  • Strong theoretical and hands-on understanding of separation science and general chemistry
  • Proficient in operation and troubleshooting a wide variety of analytical instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Proven analytical development and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to review analytical data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
