We implement portfolio management strategies that ensure our Platform Engineering initiatives align with the needs of Akamai's business. Engaging with stakeholders across Akamai, we develop and maintain communication channels to improve process and visibility. You will establish programs and provide visibility to leadership that enable business decisions around roadmaps and resource management. Partnering with stakeholder teams you will develop scalable processes that ensure transparency and accountability. You will be looked at as a leader who can provide value in an ever changing environment.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Defining and executing on strategies to move Platform Engineering towards SAFe Portfolio Management
• Identifying areas of risk and opportunity, managing conflicts, and collaboratively creating mutually acceptable solutions
• Partnering with stakeholders to identify and manage dependencies by keeping communication channels open on high visibility programs
• Understanding existing programs and initiatives and continuously exploring ways to enhance them

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree
• Demonstrate ability to communicate complex technical content to a wide range of audiences with varying technical abilities
• Have extensive experience working with technical teams and a detailed understanding of the SDLC, ideally SAFe methodologies
• Be a team player, collaborative, and enjoy solving problems in a fast changing agile environment
• Display outstanding interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, influencing, change management ownership and managing ambiguity
