This is an excellent opportunity for you to join NBBJ in a Senior Technical Designer role in our Commercial/Corporate/Civic Studio (S31).

Your New Role:

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Designers, Consultants, Clients and Authorities Having Jurisdiction to implement design solutions that create high-performance corporate projects
  • Engage in ongoing coordination with engineering disciplines and design-assist subcontractors
  • Coordinate and develop drawing packages from concept through construction documents
  • Ensure quality control/quality assurance processes are in place
  • Perform construction administration to uphold the integrity of the project
  • Provide code review and conformance on project
  • Help establish production workflows and positive team atmosphere

What you will need to Succeed:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Architecture, with special depth and interest in project delivery and technical problem solving
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree; Master of Architecture preferred
  • Architectural licensure desired; LEED Accreditation a plus
  • Strong working experience with Revit
  • Desire to work on commercial/corporate/civic projects of varying sizes and complexities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working understanding of building codes, accessibility codes, and permitting/licensing processes
  • Proactive approach to communication and problem solving Ability to work in a collaborative, open environment
  • Ability to be flexible and to contribute where needed to support project teams
  • Ability to travel as the projects require
  • Graphic design and modeling skills are a plus
