At Microchip FPGA group, we develop SOC FPGA compute platforms targeting a broad range of low power applications including smart embedded vision, industrial IOT, Access/Gateways/ Aggregation Networks, compute platforms for aerospace and defense.
As a System Architect, you'll work with a team of highly motivated Architects and Senior Designers on developing architectural specification of Multi-Core RISC-V Linux capable tightly-integrated SOCs with our next-generation mid-range power optimized FPGA family. The scope of the job extends beyond the SOC boundary to cover all facets of interconnect to FPGA Fabric, associated peripherals and IO resources to deliver optimized system solutions.
Drive technical diligence and trade-off analysis of product requirements in the Product Concept Phase leading to Design Requirements in the Product Definition Phase
Develop techniques, tools and perform hands-on PPA (Performance, Power, Area) tradeoff analysis: Trial Synthesis, Emulation, Virtual Platforms
Develop detailed architectural specifications and work closely with the design team during the implementation phase to ensure proper capture of intent, identify technical gaps and propose remedies
Lead discussions about future features/requirements with CPU and IP vendors
