We are looking for an Senior Tax Manager - Tax Provision and Compliance.

Job Summary:

Number two position in growing tax department recently stood-up to support Perspecta Inc., a new $4B+ revenue public company with 20+ years of history. This person will have direct responsibility for the tax provision and all income tax compliance. In addition to tax department operations, the Senior Manager Tax Provision and Compliance will be an active participant in all tax planning, M&A, and tax business support. The tax department is also supported by shared services and service providers to prepare tax filings and perform reconciliations and this position will have authority to be a key driver of tax process automation and efficiency projects.

Core job responsibilities:

  • Preparation/review of income tax provision including preparation of tax disclosures and footnotes for SEC reporting. Review journal entries and reconcile tax accounts.
  • Preparation/review of US federal and state tax provision work papers.
  • Preparation/review of US federal and state income tax returns and estimated payments with co-sourcing assistance
  • Support development and implementation of tax planning, M&A and corporate strategies.
  • Drive development of automation for tax work papers and processes.
  • Support Financial Statement & SOX audits.
  • User of SAP/BPC BW and Costpoint and various tax software SaaS packages.
  • Manage US federal and state income taxaudits.
  • Research federal and state tax matters.


Key Qualifications:

  • Education: BA Accounting or Finance
  • Additional certifications: CPArequired, MST a plus
  • A minimum of 6 years in Public Accountingsupporting Corporate Tax clients is required
  • A minimum of 2-4 years in Corporate Tax department with provision and compliance experience is strongly preferred
  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP and US Tax Accounting and US Federal and State compliance is required
  • Expert Excel proficiency and tax/accounting modelling experience is required
  • Experience with corporate ERP and Tax SaaS Tools (OneSource/Oracle) is required
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment
