Job Description

We are currently searching for a Senior Tax Manager to assist our growing tax department with all federal, state and local tax matters. This position will have exposure to all areas of income tax for our global company, including, but not limited to accounting for income taxes under US GAAP, and income tax compliance.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with Associate Tax Director to manage and prepare the US income tax provision in accordance with US GAAP ASC 740, including the SEC 10K and 10Q footnotes
  • Consolidation of the global tax provision, including assisting the foreign locations with US GAAP requirements and maintaining a relationship with the foreign location finance personnel
  • Participate with the broader tax team to ensure proper reporting of mergers & acquisitions, cross border transactions, equity transactions, investments, and a wide variety of other tactical and planning ideas
  • Improve and maintain the preparation of the federal consolidated and state income tax returns
  • Research federal and state income tax laws to monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance developments and law changes
  • Assist in domestic federal and state income tax audits to resolve tax issues
  • Project management responsibilities related to mergers and acquisitions
  • Assistance in calculating, maintaining and tracking of FIN48 uncertain tax positions on a global basis
  • Provide support for various tax planning and projects
  • Support SOX compliance and working with external auditors
  • Teaching and mentoring team members

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive corporate tax experience with Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent industry experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and ASC 740
  • Strong international tax experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's in accounting is required/Master's degree in Tax is preferred
  • Current CPA/JD license required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Experience with OneSource software a plus (Income Tax, Provision)
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent project management skills required
