Honda R&D is seeking a experienced associate to work with our electrical systems verification team. This member is expected to coordinate and manage full vehicle system verification of integrated control systems on the vehicle. The ideal candidate would have a background in vehicle dynamics evaluation coupled with theoretical knowledge of vehicle dynamics and control. The job role requires a dynamic interaction with various systems function groups to coordinate the following activities. Responsibilities will include the organization and facilitation of integrated systems testing verification of controlled automotive systems. This will include creating full vehicle testing plans and schedules during vehicle development, working with functional group members to correlate individual system test plans, conducting on vehicle testing which will include instrumentation and data collection operation, operation of test vehicles on proving grounds and collection of measurement data of controlled system responses and characteristics. Additional responsibilities will include creation and maintenance of test result documentation and activities, summarizing, presenting and documentation of full vehicle verification test results to technical leaders and management and coordinating outsource contracts to suppliers for testing activities and result reporting.
BSME or BSEE with minimum 8years of closely related experience or equivalent combination of education and experiencerequired. Experience in proving ground testing specifically with formal training preferred. PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software) and excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work overtime is required
