Engineering and Provisioning.

  • Perform system administration of the virtual infrastructure including VMware, Citrix, Cisco, and othertechnologies.
  • Provide Tier III support for the virtual infrastructure by investigating and troubleshooting incidents and issues to resolution and providing well documented status updates.
  • Provide day to day support for the virtual infrastructure including new system delivery, preventative maintenance, and proactive availability.

  • Superior customer facing and technical skills including ability to develop “trusted advisor” relationship with Enterprise customers

  • Project plan development.
  • Documentation for migration plan.
  • Development of deployment and test plans.
  • Experience working as a team leader within a process/project-oriented organization.
  • Significant experience within a large scale Windows Enterprise customer/employer.
  • Experience with software package builds for use with GPO deployment methods.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.

  • Drives an “automate first” approach to all tasks through the use of scripts, orchestration or deployment packaging
  • Architects, deploys and documents operating system environments that support a large number of concurrent users and complex applications
  • Contributes to the approval of new or amended IT standards, procedures and other quality managed processes. Ensures that adequate technology, procedures and resources are in place to support the quality of the systems
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all   levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals.

Operations and Support.

  • Good working knowledge of implementation of SSL Certificates
  • Good understanding of Firewall rule implementation & troubleshooting.

  • Flexible working hours would be required. Good knowledge of VMWare vSphere and associated products (eg vCenter, SRM)

  • Good working knowledge of networking functions (i.e. function of TCP/IP, SNMP) subnetting and routing.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Bachelordegree with a technical major, such as Engineering, Computer Science or relevant practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of several of the following technologies or products: Microsoft DFS, MS PKI, MS Failover Clustering, Symantec Endpoint Manager, NetBackup, iSCSI and FC based SAN storage
  • Provide daily support for CITRIX Xenapp /Xendesktop environment with users in various geographical locations.
  • Take full ownership to work with various teams to resolve any production related incidents.
  • Be actively involved in the planning & implementation of new projects.
  • Interface with Vendors and Internal Global Teams to ensure the environment conforms to the current standards.
  • Manage Business Continuance in relation to Disaster Recovery.
  • Maintain System high reliability, availability and resiliency levels.
  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level Support for the production Environments
  • Proactive System Performance Monitoring and capacity management
  • Perform system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching.
  • Provide 24*7 On call support based on rotation within the team
  • Perform thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts.
  • Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices.
  • Incident and Problem management: take ownership and work with team to resolve production related issues.
  • Follow groups standard security practices within the environment.
  • Maintain an accurate and current hardware inventory
  • Performance and capacity monitoring and reporting.
  • Manage and ensure that ticket queues are being properly addressed in the time outlined by SLA’s.
  • Participate in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Change Management, Problem Management, and Incident Management calls.
  • Participate in 24 x 7 On-Call rotation as scheduled
  • Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, and problem resolution abilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of most versions of Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop, including 7.6.
  • Strong technical knowledge of most versions of VMware vSphere including 6.0.
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure applications such as Active Directory, DNS, load balancing, caching and intrusion detection.
  • Experience using diagnostic, monitoring and change management tools.
  • Experience in implementing and managing multiple virtual environments public (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) and private.


  • Ability to understand business objectives and focus and prioritize multiple projects accordingly
  • Experience in a large IT environment dominated by internet facing applications strongly desired.


  • Responsibilities may require working evenings/weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice
  • OnCall rotation for the duration of 1 week ever 8-13 weeks.(TBC).
