Design, implement, configure, and provide daily support of Virtualization and Hardware platforms in an enterprise data center environment. Support and assist internal customers as well as appropriate systems vendors to conduct requirements gathering and research, resolve issues, ensure documentation standards and procedures for operations are in place, actively seek and evaluate opportunities for process improvement. Participate in on-call rotation as well as other after-hours support and maintenance activities as necessary.

Develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency. Troubleshoot complex application issues when escalated. Provide effective technical documentation to clearly communicate procedures to other IT personnel. Mentor team members in areas of strong functional expertise to assist with team cross training and development.


Essential Functions:


  • Looking for well-rounded L3 Systems Engineers in MS Active Directory (ADFS, ADDS, migrations, consolidations, etc)
  • Strong understanding of Veeam Backup & Replication / Backup Technologies
  • Strong understanding of Windowsscripting? PowerShell specific to VMware, and Veeam B&R
  • Thorough understanding of server and client platforms along with networking and internet fundamentals
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • A broad range of technical skills with a strong desire to constantly expand skillset
  • Ability to follow established Change Control procedures to prevent unexpected interruptions to the production environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and self-manage tasks
  • Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete goals independently

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • Associates Degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of Enterprise level support experience

Preferred Experience:


  • Experience with Microsoft System Center (Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Orchestrator)
  • Experience with Nagios
  • Experience with Microsoft RDS or Citrix XenApp
  • Experience with Microsoft ADFS
  • Experience with SAN administration and support
  • Experience with Linux administration and support
  • Experience with Windows administration and support.
