The Role - A011749 - Senior Systems Engineer - Watkins, CO
• A technical leader on projects and responsible for project systems engineering model and documentation.
• Technical leader on a variety of project sizes and complexities. Works with the project leads in a variety of disciplines to direct their high level activities.
• Work with the project team to communicate requirements, risks, and cross functional issues.
• Work with the project team to communicate requirements, risks, and cross functional issues.
• Comfortable working at various levels on a project team, and across multiple disciplines.
• Interact with customer to communicate technical aspects of the project.
• Identify system product risks and mitigations.
• Work with the project team to optimize the design of the system.
• Coordinate and/or lead integration and verification efforts.
• Manage the configuration management process.
• Interface with project manager to provide technical status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
• Identify scope creep and inform the project manager.
• Assists in project management process for estimating future projects.
• The systems engineer would also be responsible for organizing design reviews and providing the systems engineering content therein.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.), from a technical college or university in an Engineering or Technical Management field, 6 years of engineering / product development experience, including demonstrated proficiency and leadership in systems engineering. MS preferred. Experience in systems engineering related to electrical engineering or software is a plus.
Experience and Knowledge
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software a plus (Cradle, CORE, Doors).
• Utilize excellent communication skills (verbal and written, including group presentations).
• Have experience working independently and in a team environment.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies & software development lifecycle
• Prior experience with mining or large equipment design & development.
