  • Brief Description
  • LinQuest is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Schriever AFB, Colorado.
  • This position is supporting the Air Force Research Lab Information Handling (AFRL/RIEB) mission and the Full Spectrum Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Innovation & Integration (F3I-2) program. The SME will provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Position requires extensive knowledge of a particular area, such as business, computer science, engineering, mathematics, and DoD policies
  • Design, develop, document and deliver new and emerging technologies that enhance the integration of data handling systems for baseline and subsystems for AOC and DCGS Weapon Systems
  • Participates in all phases of research and development with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases
  • Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions
  • Provides advice on policy doctrine
  • Provides regular technical presentations to government customers for consideration
  • Provides requirement decomposition/definition and engineering expertise to assure program requirements are developed and sustained
  • Requirements
  • Required Skills:
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying cloud-based applications
  • Experience deploying software on both Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Agile software development methodology experience with Scrum and/or Scale Agile Framework for Lean Enterprises (SAFe)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience developing applications for Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in scientific or engineering discipline and eight years of experience in DoD system/software development and considered a subject matter expert in assigned technical area
